It is very accurate, measuring exactly 1/2 mile at the end of two laps on the inside lane on the high school track. It is also durable: I've used it twice on a mile long path through the woods with many ups and downs and roots and stones to contend with and it did not seem to faze it.

Seems like a descent consumer-grade measuring wheel. Simple enough to use. My only complaint, as others have noted here, is that the counter window shows FEET (white digits on black) and IN (black digit on white); Really it's counting FEET and DECIMAL FEET. So
